On the 3rd of October, Dario Bonino gave a short seminar entitled "Home and Building Automation" for the SunSlice domotic and plant design teams at Politecnico di Torino. The participants were students in several Engineering degree, being part of the SunSlice project.

On 29 october 2013, Camera di Commercio di Aosta, organized a seminar entitled "L'innovazione tecnologica nella domotica" aimed at technology and building professionals. Fulvio Corno was the academic speaker in the seminar, and presented a talk about "Tecnologie e applicazioni domotiche: potenzialità ed approcci industriali a confronto".

Are you interested in domotics? smart environments and ambient intelligence? solutions for intelligent energy management and smart grids? wired and wireless networks for domestic applications? building automation? mobile user interfaces, wearable interfaces and disappearing interfaces? processing and visualization of big data generated by sensor networks?
The new course (in English) called "Ambient intelligence: technology and design" covers these topics, and is available as an optional course in the 3rd year in Engineering.
The course is available to students in Computer Science (Informatica), Electronics, Telecommunications, but also Electrical, Energy, Ciliv, Management, etc... engineers: we aim at working on multi-disciplinary projects, as it happens in real-life designs teams.

Lezione-seminario: Tecnologie e assetti organizzativi per l'integrazione lavorativa
Nel contesto del corso di Tecnologie per la Disabilità del Politecnico di Torino, si terrà una lezione-seminario sul tema dei problemi di comunicazione di persone con disabilità.
Interverranno:
- Osvaldo Marcotti, IBM Italia
- Edoardo Vannutelli, Politecnico di Milano
- Francesco Levantini, IBM Italia
Il seminario raccoglie due esperienze di integrazione lavorativa nel contesto di IBM Italia, attraverso le testimonianze dirette di due dipendenti IBM. I relatori illustreranno come le tecnologie, abbinate all'innovazione lavorativa ed alla ricerca di nuove soluzioni tecniche ed organizzative, possano permettere un'efficace integrazione lavorativa.
L'ing. Osvaldo Marcotti lavora presso IBM Italia ed è affetto da gravi disabilità motorie. Con la collaborazione di Edoardo Vannutelli e di un laboratorio di ricerca del Politecnico di Milano, nel corso degli anni sono state concepite, realizzate e sperimentate diverse soluzioni tecnologiche basate sull'adattamento di una carrozzina motorizzata, sullo sviluppo di nuove applicazioni mobili e sullo studio di nuove tipologie di interfacce.
Il dott. Francesco Levantini lavora come IT Education Specialist presso IBM Italia e collabora con la fondazione ASPHI; ha perso la vista in età adulta a seguito di una patologia. Nel contesto di IBM ha seguito l'iniziativa "Mobile Wireless Accessibility" che permette al personale di IBM di rimanere collegato al proprio lavoro indipendentemente dalle proprie esigenze di accessibilità e mobilità. Oratore carismatico, condividerà la propria esperienza ed i risultati ottenuti.

The third Vocabulary Camp (VoCamp) is organized with the objective of scientifically preparing standardization of M2M communication for energy management of Energy using and producing Products (EupP) in buildings and its environments. It is organized under the auspices of the Adapt4EE project and the European Commission. This is the third series of VoCamps will take place in Kaiserslautern, Germany, at the German Research Center on Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).
