The e-Lite research group is proud to announce the start of a 3-year Ph.D. project in collaboration with the Joint Open Lab SWARM - Beyond the Internet of Things (JOL SWARM) by Telecom Italia.

The selections for the XXX Cycle of the Ph.D. in Computer and Control Engineering closed a few days ago, and the candidate Teodoro Montanaro has been assigned to work on this joint topic.

Buildings (ISSN 2075-5309) is an international, scientific, open access journal on building science, building engineering and architecture published quarterly online by MDPI. The current issue (Issue 4, 2014) features a special issue on Building Automation Systems.

The special issue features an article about A Semantics-Rich Information Technology Architecture for Smart Buildings (by D. Bonino, F. Corno and L. De Russis), that describes the main architectural ingredients of semantics-rich building automation systems. Practical examples, building upon the experience of the Dog Gateway project and of the Alcotra Applus.énergie, are used to describe the benefit of a model-driven approach to intelligent buildings.

Nel weekend dal 21 al 23 Novembre 2014 a Torino, l'Associazione Energy@home in collaborazione con l'incubatore I3P del Politecnico di Torino organizza un concorso di idee d'impresa e di prototipazione, sottoforma di hackaton, per progettare la casa intelligente del futuro.
