The e-Lite group is partecipating to the 3rd International Conference on Future Internet of Things and Cloud (FiCloud), that is taking place in Rome, Italy, from today, 24th of August, to the 26th of August. The FiCloud conference aims at providing a forum for bringing together researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and public sector in an effort to present their research work and share research and development ideas in the area of IoT and cloud computing.

Teodoro Montanaro will present, on Wednesday 26, his first paper as a Ph.D. student, in collaboration with the JOL SWARM of Telecom Italia/TIM. The paper, entitled IoT Meets Exhibition Areas: a Modular Architecture to Improve Proximity Interactions, analyzes how IoT technology can improve proximity interactions, by developing a case study in an exhibition area with the goal of enhancing participants and exhibitors experience, and by providing a modular, yet extensible, architecture to support this scenario.

Fulvio Corno, instead, will be chair for the "Smart Environment" session during the conference.
